What this website collects

This website collects only what you type into a form on it:

• Donating: your first and last name, email address, the amount and the fund you choose. The email is used to send your receipt.
• Compliance packet, volunteer and partner forms: your name or organization, email address, role and any message you write.

We do not ask for health information on this website. Please do not put any in a message.

Payments

Gifts are paid on the payment processor’s own secure checkout page. Your card or bank details go to the processor, never to The Kidney League or to the company that hosts this website. We receive a confirmation that the gift was paid, the amount, and the name and email you gave us.

Rides and health information

Asking for a ride is done in a separate secure intake, not on this website. The Kidney League is working to meet HIPAA guidelines before real patient information is collected there, and the intake will have its own privacy notice when it opens.

How we use what you send us

• To reply to your request and follow up on it.
• To send your donation receipt and keep the financial records the law requires of a 501(c)(3) charity.
• To run our programs and report on them in totals that do not name anyone.

Who else sees it

We share information only with the services that help us run the website and take gifts: the payment processor, our email delivery service and our website host, Greyfibre. We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.

Cookies and tracking

These public pages do not use advertising or analytics scripts. The staff sign-in page uses a session cookie so that team members stay signed in.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (we may need to keep gift records for tax purposes). Email info@thekidneyleague.org.
